A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF'POWAY, CALIFORNIA
DENYING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT/ZONE 'CHANGE 89-01B
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that the need may
arise to amend the City's Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq., of the California Government Code describes
the procedures for amending the City's Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway has initiated a General Plan Amendment/Zone
Change 89-01B for a redesignation of land use and zoning for an approximate 1.01
gross acre parcel (APN 323-261-31, Praver Brothers Investments, property owner)
located south of Poway Road and west of Vista View Drive; and
WHEREAS, the application proposes a change in land use and zoning from
Residential Single Family i (1 du/net acre) to Commercial General; and
WHEREAS, The City of Poway held a properly noticed public hearing in accor-
dance with the California Government Code and the California Environmental
Quality Act to consider that request; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed General Plan
amendment/zone change would result in incompatible land uses with the residen-
tial properties located to the south and east of the subject site.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby deny City
of Poway General Plan AJnendment/Zone Change 89-01B.
