A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF~POWAY,~CALIFORNIA
DENYING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT/ZONE'CHANGE 89-01D
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that the need may
arise to amend the City's Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq., of the California Government Code describes
the procedures for amending the City's Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway has initiated a General Plan Amendment/Zone
Change, GPA/ZC 89-01D for a redesignation of land use and zoning for the
approximate 0.25 northerly portion of a 1.51 gross acre parcel (APN 823-270-52,
Rodney and Graciela Westcott, property owners) located south of'Poway Road and
immediately west of Golden Way; and
WHEREAS
Residential
, the application proposes a change in land use and planning from
Single Family 2 (1-2 du/net acre) to Manufacturing Service; and
WHEREAS, The City of Poway held a properly noticed public hearing in accor-
dance with the California Government Code and the California Environmental
Quality Act to consider the subject application; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed General Plan
Amendment/Zone Change could not be justified at this time due to the lack of
suffiecient information concerning land use planning, environmental assessment,
and traffic circulation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby deny
General Pland Amendment/Zone Change 89-01D.
