A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
INITIATING AN AMENDMENT TO THE SOUTH POWAY SPECIFIC PLAN
(SPA 89-02)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that the need may
arise to amend the South Poway Specific Plan; and
WHEREAS, on July 30, 1985, the City Council adopted a resolution approving
the South Poway Planned Community Plan (SPPC) Development Plan, and said plan
has been prepared and adopted as a Specific Plan, and provides for the systema-
tic implementation of the Poway General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 239 established Chapter 17.47, Specific Plan
Regulations of the Zoning Development Code, including specific plan implemen-
tation procedures; and
WHEREAS, on March 17, 1989, the City received an application (SPA 89-02)
from W & S Commercial, Inc. requesting an amendment to the South Poway Specific
Plan concerning lots 25 and 27 within the approved Pomerado Business Park, and
located on the north side of Danielson Court and west of Community Road; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 17.47.020B of the Zoning Development
Code, any proposed amendment to a Specific Plan must be requested of and ini-
tiated by resolution of the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council does hereby initiate
the requested amendment to the South Poway Specific Plan (SPA 89-02).
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council/~o~ the City of Poway, State of
