A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
DENYING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT/ZONE CHANGE 89-03A
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that the need may
arise to amend the City's Comprehensive Plan: and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq, of the California Government Code describes
the procedures for amending the City's Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway has initiated a General Plan Amendment/Zone
Change 89-03A for a redesignation of land use and zoning for approximately
708-gross acres of undeveloped land located on the north side of Espola Road and
fronting on Old Coach Road from Rural Residential A (1 du/4, 8, 20, or 40 net
acres), Rural Residential B (1 du/2, 4, or 8 net acres), and Rural Residential C
(1 du/1, 2, or 4 net acres) to Planned Community land use designation; and
WHEREAS, the subject property consists of Assessor's parcel Numbers, APN's:
273-182-18 and 19; 273-100-10; 277-010-02, 05, 22, and 23; 277-070-24, 27
through 31; 277-071-01, 02, 08, and 09; and 277-140-01, 06, 23, 24, 26, and 27;
and
WHEREAS the City of Poway held a properly noticed public hearing in accor-
dance with the California Government Code and the California Environmental
Quality Act to consider the subject application; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed General Plan
Amendment/Zone Change would result in an unacceptable increase in residential
density.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby deny
General Plan Amendment/Zone Change 89-03A.
