A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
DENYING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT AND ZONE CHANGE
(GPA/ZC 89-04A)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that the need may
arise to amend the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq, of the California Government Code describes
the procedures for amending General Plans; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Robert Rheinhart and Mr. Frank Patonai have filed an applica-
tion requesting a modification of land use designation and zone classification
on Assessor parcel 314-370-36 consisting of approximately 14.27 undeveloped
gross acres and located on Pomerado Road opposite Roberto Way; and
WHEREAS, the application requests a change in land use and zoning from RR-C,
Rural Residential-C {1 du/1, 2, or 4 net acres) to RSC, Residential Senior
Citizen (12-25 du/net acre); and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway held a properly noticed public hearing in accor-
dance with the California Government Code and the California Environmental
Quality Act to consider that request; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the information presented in the
staff report on the proposed application and hereby determines that the current
land use is appropriate, and the Council does not wish to consider redesigna-
tion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby deny pro-
posed General Plan Amendment/Zone Change 89-04A.
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, State of
California, this 12th day of September, l~/~--
