A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA, REJECTING BIDS
FOR THE LANDSCAPING OF THE PERFORMING ARTS
CENTER PARKING LOT, AND AUTHORIZING STAFF
TO NEGOTIATE SAID WORK
WHEREAS, bids have been opened for the landscaping of the Performing Arts
Center parking lot; and
WHEREAS, only one qualified bid has been received; and
WHEREAS, the single qualified bid exceeds the budgeted amount; and
WHEREAS, Section 20167 of the Public Contract Code authorizes the contracted
work to be negotiated when it can be determined that the work can be performed
more economically.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that all bids are rejected for the
Landscaping of the Performing Arts Center Parking Lot.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that staff is authorized to negotiate said work.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, California
at a regular meeting thereof this 28th day of November, 1989.
