A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
AMENDING THE SOUTH POWAY SPECIFIC PLAN (SP 84-01F)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that the need may
arise to amend the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq. of the California Government Code describes
the procedures for amending General Plans; and
WHEREAS, on July 30, 1985, the City Council adopted a resolution approving
the South Poway Planned Community {SPPC) Development Plan, and said plan has
been prepared and adopted as a Specific Plan, and provides for the systematic
implementation of the Poway General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Volume II (Development Standards of the SPPC Development Plan) con-
tains procedures for amending the subject development plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has initiated South Poway Specific Plan Amendment
{SP 84-01F) involving amendment of the prohibited and allowed uses within the LI
(Light Industrial) Zone {Volume II, Development Standards); and
WHEREAS, on November 28, 1989, the City Council of the City of Poway held
a properly noticed public hearing in accordance with the California Government
Code and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) to consider this
request; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the City Council considered the Environmental
Initial Study prepared for SP 84-01F and determined that the proposed amendment
will not cause any significant adverse environmental impacts and issued a
Negative Declaration with mitigation measures.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council does hereby amend the
text to the South Poway Specific Plan {Volume II) as follows:
Section g c. on Page 58 of Volume II is amended to read as follows with
underlining to indicate additions and strikeout to indicate deletions to the
text:

Services for up to ten percent of the gross floor area
of each parcel, or Retail Outlets as an accessory use
for up to 25 percent of the gross floor area of each
parcel.
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, State of
California, this 28th day of November, 1989.
