A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
POWAY, CALIFORNIA APPROVING THE PROPOSITION A:
SAN DIEGO TRANSPORATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
FOR LOCAL STREETS FOR FY 1990-91
WHEREAS, on November 3, 1987, the voters of San Diego County approved
Proposition A: The San Diego Transportation Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, Proposition A is a 1/2~ increase in the county-wide sales tax,
lasting 20 years for specified transportation programs and projects; and
WHEREAS, one-third of the revenues are to be allocated to cities for street
and road purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway is estimated to receive $4,142,000 between
FY 1990-91 and FY 1994-95; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has conducted a public hearing on the proposed
list of projects attached as Attachment 1.
NOW THEREFORE, the Poway City Council does hereby resolve as follows:
1. The Poway City Council approves the five-year list of projects
contained in Attachment 1.

The Poway City Council will include in its budget for FY 90-91, an
amount of local discretionary funding equal to the amount reported
in FY 84-85 State Controller's Annual Report of Financial Transactions
for Streets and Roads.

The City of Poway will not use revenues provided from this measure to
replace private developer funding, which has been or will be committed
for any project.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED, by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California, at a regular meeting thereof this 6th day of March 1990.
