A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
ESTABLISHING THE SCHEDULE OF FEES
FOR RENTAL OF THE POWAY CENTER
FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS
WHEREAS, fees for the use of the Poway Center for the Performing Arts by
third parties, other than the City of Poway and the Poway Unified School
District, have been established to provide for the recovery of operational and
maintenance costs associated with said facility.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Poway does hereby resolve
as follows:
1. The rental rate schedule of fees for third party use of the Poway
Center for the Performing Arts as follows:
Category 1: Private nonprofit, incorporated and tax exempt (501(c)(3))
organizations and governmental entities based or located within the service
area.
Rental Rate: $36 per hour plus 10 percent of the proceeds from gross ticket
sales. The first three hours of rental time in this category would be
reduced to 50 percent of the normal hourly rate.
Category 2: Private, noncofliiiercial and nonprofit groups and/or individuals
based or residing within the service area. In order to qualify for this
rate, renters must agree that all proceeds over and above actual costs of
the event, established after the fact by a notarized statement by the
renter, must be turned over to an established charitable tax exempt
(501(c)(3)) organization.
Rental Rate: $54 per hour plus ten percent of the proceeds from gross
ticket sales. The first three hours of rental time in this category shall
be reduced to 50 percent of the normal hourly rate.
Category 3: Commercial, for profit organizations and/or individuals based
or residing within the service area.
Rental Rate: $108 per hour plus 15 percent of the proceeds from gross
ticket sales.
Category 4: Private nonprofit, incorporated and tax exempt {501{c){3))
organizations based outside the service area.
Rental Rate: $72 per hour plus 12 percent of the proceeds from gross
ticket sales.
Category 5: Private, noncommercial and nonprofit groups and/or individuals
based or residing outside the service area. In order to qualify for this
rate, renters must agree that all proceeds over and above acutal costs of
the event, established after the fact by a notarized statement by the
renter, must be turned over to an established charitable, tax exempt
(501(c)(3)) organization.
Rental Rate: $90 per hour plus 12 percent of the proceeds from gross ticket
sales.
