A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING DEPOSITS IN THE
COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO POOL OF FUNDS
FOR INVESTMENT
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 53684 was amended to allow local public
agencies to deposit excess money in the County treasury for investment purposes;
and
WHEREAS, the County of San Diego passed a resolution on March 24, 1987,
making Section 53684 operative; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Poway to take advantage
of higher yields on investments by making deposits in the larger pool of funds
operated by the County of San Diego; and
WHEREAS, the County requires a resolution adopted by the legislative body of
each public agency authorizing deposits to be made into the investment pool of
funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City of Poway is hereby authorized
to make deposits in the pool of funds operated by the County of San Diego for
investment purposes, and that individuals authorized to initiate deposits to or
instruct withdrawals from the pool will be the Finance Manager, Senior Accoun-
tant or Accountant (any one of the three).
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED, by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California, at a regular meeting thereof this 22nd day of May, 1990.
