A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING THOSE CERTAIN AGREEMENTS WITH
THE POWAY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
CONCERNING THE POWAY CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS
WHEREAS, the Poway City Council and the Poway Unified School District are
desirous of having a performing arts center adjacent to Poway High School; and
WHEREAS, the City is the fee owner of the real property upon which the
facility will be constructed and agrees to lease said property to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway agrees to construct the facility and provide the
majority of funding; and
WHEREAS, the City and District desire joint use of the facility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Poway
hereby approves with the Poway Unified School District the following agreements
for the Poway Center for the Performing Arts:
1. Lease Agreement
2. Joint Use Agreement
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager is hereby authorized to do
all things necessary and proper to implement said Agreements.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED, by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California, at a regular meeting thereof this 22nd day of May, 1990.
