A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
DENYING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT/ZONE CHANGE 90-01C
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that
the need may arise to amend the City's Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq., of the California Government
Code describes the procedures for amending the City.s Comprehensive
Plan; and
WHEREAS, The City of Poway has initiated a General Plan
Amendment/Zone Change 90-01C for a redesignation of land use and
zoning for an approximate 1.01 gross acre parcel (APN 323-261-31),
located south of Poway Road and west of Vista View Drive; and
WHEREAS, the application proposes a change in land use and
zoning from Residential Single Family - 1 (1 du/net acre) to
Commercial General; and
WHEREAS, The City of Poway held a properly noticed public
hearing in accordance with California Government Code and the
california Environmental Quality Act to consider that request; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed General Plan
amendment/zone change would result in incompatible land uses with
residential properties located to the south and east of the subject
site.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does
hereby deny City of Poway General Plan Amendment/Zone Change
90-01C.
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Poway, State of California, this 12th day of June, 1990.
