A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF POWAY APPROVING
THE APPLICATION FOR FUNDS FOR ROAD IMPROVEMENTS
UNDER THE STATE/LOCAL PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM, SB300
WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the State/Local
Partnership Program, SB300, which provides funds to local entities to construct
roadway and mass transit improvements; and
WHEREAS, Caltrans has been delegated the responsibility for the administra-
tion of the program within the state, setting up necessary procedures governing
application by local agencies under the program; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by Caltrans require the applicant to
certify by resolution, approval of the application before submission of said
application to the state; and
WHEREAS, said application contains assurances that the applicant must
comply with; and
WHEREAS, the applicant will enter into an agreement with the State of
California for acquisition or development of the projects.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Poway hereby:
Approves the filing of applications for funding under the State/Local
Partnership Program, SB300; and
Certifies that said applicant understands the assurances and cer-
tification in the application form; and
Certifies that said applicant has or will have sufficient funds to
operate and maintain the projects; and
Appoint the City Manager as agent for the City of Poway to conduct
all negotiations, execute and submit all documents, including but
not limited to, applications, agreements, amendments, payment requests,
and so on, which may be necessary for the completion of the afore-
mentioned projects.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED, by the City of Poway, California, at a regular
meeting thereof this 19th day of June, 1990.
