A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO A
COOPERATION AGREEMENT FOR A COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the County of San Diego and the City of Poway have
earlier entered into a Cooperation Agreement for a Community
Development Program; and
WHEREAS, said Agreement authorized the County and the City
to cooperate to undertake or assist in undertaking community
renewal and lower income housing assistance activities,
specifically urban renewal and publicly assisted housing; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development has
requested a certain change in the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby resolve as
follows:
Paragraph 6 of said Cooperation Agreement is amended to
read as follows:
6. The City of Poway agrees and does hereby commit
itself to undertake, conduct or perform or assist
the County of San Diego in undertaking, conducting
or performing the essential community development
and housing assistance activities identified in the
plan and program contemplated hereunder pursuant to
the Act and pursuant to 24 CFR 570.501(b), the unit
of local government is subject to the same
requirements applicable to subrecipients, including
entering into a written agreement with the County
as set forth in 24 CFR 570.503.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED, by the City Council of the
City of Poway at a regular meeting thereof this 25th day of
September, 1990.
