RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING JOINT BIDDING OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL
AND STREET LIGHTING MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR THE CITIES OF
POWAY, EL CAJON, LA MESA, LEMON GROVE, AND SANTEE
WHEREAS, the Cities of E1 Cajon, La Mesa, Lemon Grove and Santee
have joint-bid traffic signal and street lighting maintenance
services, and this joint contract has been extended to the City of
Poway; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of these public agencies to
continue this arrangement and include Poway in the formal bid
process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City
Council of the City of Poway, California that the City of Poway
agrees to joint-bid with the Cities of E1 Cajon, La Mesa, Lemon
Grove, and Santee traffic signal and street lighting maintenance
service, subject to the following conditions:
1. The City of E1 Cajon will act as lead-agency.
A party to this joint-bid contract may withdraw with
a minimum of 60 days notice prior to the contract
renewal date, provided, however, such withdrawing
party shall remain liable for any and all debts or
obligations incurred by that party during its
participation in the contract.
Each party shall individually execute their portion
of the contract and shall be individually responsible
for the debts, liabilities and obligation of their
portion of the contract services and/or equipment.
Ail parties agree to include a public agency clause
in all purchases of services or equipment related to
general signal and street lighting services, whether
through joint or individual bids and/or contracts.
Public Agencies which are not a part of this joint-
bid contract may become parties to this contract
subject to approval by a majority ~f the City
parties.
Each party will be provided a certified copy of this
resolution for their records executed by the
individual parties.
