Res 91-038RESOLUTION N0.91-038 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA AMENDING THE SOUTH P0WAY SPECIFIC PLAN (SP 84-01I) WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that the need may arise to amend the City's General Plan; and WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq, of the California Government Code describes the procedures for amending General Plans; and WHEREAS, on July 30, 1985, the City Council adopted a resolution approving the South Poway Planned Community (SPPC) Development Plan, and said plan has been prepared and adopted as a Specific Plan, and provides for the systematic implementation of the Poway General Plan; and WHEREAS, Volume II (Development Standards of the SPPC Development Plan) contains procedures for amending the subject development plan; and WHEREAS, the City Council has initiated South Poway Specific Plan Amendment (SP 84-01I) to allow indoor recreational uses by conditional use permit within the LI (Light Industrial), IP (Industrial Park), and SPC (South Poway Commercial) land use designations (Volume II, Development Standards); and WHEREAS, on April 23, 1991, the City Council of the City of Poway held a properly noticed public hearing in accordance with the California Government Code and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) to consider this request; and WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the City Council referenced the previously certified Environmental Impact Report (EIR) of 1985 and the Subsequent EIR of 1988 for the South Poway Specific Plan and determined that the proposed amendment will not cause any significant adverse environmental impacts and subsequent projects will have mitigation measures/conditions added through the CUP process to address impacts. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council does hereby amend the text to the South Poway Specific Plan (Volume II) as follows: Section 10 is added to Page 59 of Volume II to follows: read as 10. Recreational Uses IP L__I a. Indoor recreational uses (except C C athletic and health clubs) such as batting cages, archery ranges, marksman ranges.
