A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
FOR THE WAIVER OF PLUMBING PERMITS FOR THE INSTALLATION
OF ULTRA-LOW FLUSH TOILETS AS P~T OF THE
CITY OF POWAY ULTRA-LOW FLUSH TOILET REBATE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, ultra-low flush toilets reduce water consumption; and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway, in conjunction with the San Diego
County Water Authority and the Metropolitan Water District is
commencing an ultra-low flush toilet rebate program to replace
existing standard and low flush toilets with ultra-low flush
toilets; and
WHEREAS, the inspection of retro-fitted ultra-low flush toilets is
included as part of the program; and
WHEREAS, said inspection will satisfy the main purpose of the
Uniform Administrative Code (Plumbing Code Requirements) which is
to insure that only approved ultra-low flush toilets will be
installed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Poway does hereby waive the requirements for Plumbing Permits to be
obtained for the installation of ultra-low flush toilets when such
installations are occurring as part of the City of Poway Ultra-low
Flush Toilet Rebate Program.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Poway at a regular meeting held this 18th day of June, 1991, by the
following vote to wit:
