A RESOLUTION OF INTENT OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
REGARDING THE INITIATION OF THE PREPARATION OF
AN AMENDMENT TO THE SOUTH POWAY SPECIFIC PLAN
(SPA 84-01L)
WHEREAS, Chapter 17.47 (Specific Plan Re~ulations) of the
Poway Municipal Code (Zoning Development Code) provides for the
initiation, preparation and adoption of specific plans in
accordance with Section 65450, et seq., of the California
Government Code (Article 8. Specific Plan); and
WHEREAS, Section 17.47.020 C (Initiation) of the Poway Zoning
Development Code provides that the City Council may initiate the
preparation of, or amendment to, a specific plan on property by
resolution; and
WHEREAS, the requested amendment to allow air space industrial
condominiums per Section 66427.2 et seq. of the Subdivision Map Act
is found to be reasonable as a means of encouraging overall
business park development and occupancy of existing buildings.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Poway hereby initiates the preparation of a specific plan
amendment (SPA 84-01 L) amending the South Poway Specific Plan to
allow air space industrial condominiums.
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
State of California, this 25th day of June, 1991.
