A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
DENYING WITHOUT PREJUDICE ZONE CHANGE ZC 91-0lB
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that
the need may arise to amend the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq, of the California Government
Code describes the procedures for amending General Plans; and
WHEREAS, the City has initiated an application requesting to
redesignate the land use designation on a portion of six developed
parcels located on Brighton Avenue between Temple Street and Adrian
Street APN: 314-220-7 through 12; and
WHEREAS, the application requests a change in zoning from
Commercial General to Residential Single Family - 7; and
WHEREAS, a properly noticed public hearing was conducted in
accordance with Section 65853, et seq., of the California
Government Code and the California Environmental Quality Act to
consider this land use and zone reclassification; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the information
resulting from community meetings with the property owners and
hereby determines that the proposed application is premature and
the existing zoning designation is appropriate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does
hereby deny, without prejudice, Zone Change 91-0lB.
