A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION OF
THE HAY BARN/TEMPLAR~S HALL BUILDING
WHEREAS, The Parma Family Trust has offered to donate to the City of Poway
the building located at 14022 Midland Road known as the Hay Barn/Templar~s Hall;
and
WHEREAS, the Hay Barn/Templar~s Hall was constructed in 1885 and is one of
the oldest buildings in Poway; and
WHEREAS, the Hay Barn/Templar~s Hall was used as a town meeting hall and
was Poway~s first high school; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the Hay Barn/Templar~s Hall to be of
historic value.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby accepts from
Leon W. Parma, Trustee of The Parma Family Trust, the gift of the Hay
Barn/Templar~s Hall building to be relocated with other historic buildings in Old
Poway Park.
