A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF POWAY ACTING AS THE PLANNING AGENCY OF THE
CITY OF POWAY CONFIRMING AND SELECTING THE
BOUNDARIES OF THE EXISTING PAGUAY
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA AND FORMULATING AND
APPROVING A PRELIMINARY PLAN FOR THE PROPOSED
AMENDMENT TO THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN AND
TRANSMITTAL OF SAID PLAN TO THE REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway did adopt the
Redevelopment Plan for the Paguay Redevelopment Project Area (the
"Plan") on December 13, 1983;
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency as authorize staff to
proceed with the process to amend the Plan to change certain
limitations;
WHEREAS, the California Community Redevelopment Law
(California Health and Safety Code Section 33000, et seq.)
provides for the City Council as Planning Agency to select
redevelopment project'area boundaries and to formulate a
preliminary plan for the amendment of a project area.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL AS THE PLANNING AGENCY OF
THE CITY OF POWAY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council as Planning Agency hereby
confirms and selects the existing boundaries of the Paguay
Redevelopment Project Area (the "Project Area") as shown on the
Project Area Map attached as Exhibit A .
SECTION 2: The City Council as Planning Agency hereby
approves and adopts the Preliminary Plan formulated for the
proposed Amendment to Plan which is attached as Exhibit B.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk as Secretary of the Planning
Agency is hereby authorized to submit the Preliminary Plan to the
Redevelopment Agency of the City of Poway.
