A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
INITIATING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT 92-01
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that
the need may arise to amend the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq. of the California Government
Code describes the procedures for amending General Plans; and
WHEREAS, Section 17.46.020B of the Poway Municipal Code
(Zoning Ordinance) provides that a change in the boundaries of any
zone or a change in regulations may be initiated by resolution of
the City Council; and
WHEREAS, General Plan Amendment 92-01 consists of the
applications noted below.
GPA/ZC 92-01A This item involves consideration of a redesignation
of land use and zoning for a two-parcel, 1.2 acre site located
south of Monte Vista Road near its eastern te£minus from
Residential Single Family-7 (RS-7) to Commercial Office (CO). The
site is also under consideration as a possible location for
affordable housing.
GPA/ZC 92-01B This item involves a consideration of a
redesignation of land use and zoning for a three-parcel, 16.29 acre
site located on the northeast corner of Pomerado Road and Metate
Lane from Residential Single Family-1 (RS-l) to Residential Single
Family-7 (RS-7) and Open Space-Resource Management (OS-RM).
GPA/ZC 92-01C This item involves the consideration of
redesignation of land use and zoning for a 52 acre site located on
the southeast corner of Metate Lane and Montauk Street from Open
Space to Rural Residential-A (RR-A) and Open Space-Resource
Management (OS-RM) or Open Space Recreation (OS-R) and Open Space-
Resource Management (OS-RM).
GPA/ZC 92-01D This item involves the consideration of amending
various sections of the General Plan relating to medical facilities
in the area of Pomerado Hospital including the establishment of a
Hospital Campus land use designation.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Poway by adoption of this resolution, does hereby initiate
General Plan Amendment 92-01 and associated changes to the zoning
boundaries, as identified above.
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
