RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
DETERMINING THAT THE RENOVATION OF TWIN PEAKS
SCHOOL PLAYING FIELDS TO BE OF BENEFIT
TO THE PAGUAY REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Poway Redevelopment Agency has undertaken the
renovation of playing fields at Twin Peaks Middle School(5509); and
WHEREAS, the project is within the Paguay Redevelopment
Project and pursuant to the Redevelopment Plan for the project,
which Redevelopment Plan was adopted on December 13, 1983 by
Ordinance No. 117 of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, Section 33445 of the California Health and Safety
Code requires the Agency to determine the issue of benefit to the
Paguay Redevelopment Project and that no other reasonable means of
financing are available; and
WHEREAS, the renovation of the playing fields will allow use
of the school fields be community youth sports leagues and provide
benefit to the residents within the project area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the city of
Poway as follows:
The Council finds that renovating the playing fields
at Twin Peaks School is of benefit in that it provides
for use of the fields by community sports leagues.
The Council determines that pursuant to Health and
Safety Code 33445, (1) the improvement is of benefit
to the project area and neighborhood in which such
property is situated; and (2) no other reasonable
means of financing the project is available to the
City of Poway.
