A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF
THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF POWAY
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN (GPA 92-01B)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that the need may
arise to amend the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq., of the California Government Code
describes the procedures for amending General Plans; and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway on behalf of the applicant, Douglas Keyes, has
initiated a General Plan Amendment, GPA 92-01B, for a modification of land use
for an approximate 16.29 gross acre parcel (APN 317-211-04) located at northeast
corner of Pomerado Road and Metate Lane; and
WHEREAS, the application proposes a change in land use from Residential
Single Family-1 to Residential Single Family-7; and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway held a properly noticed public hearing in
accordance with the California Government Code and the California Environmental
Quality Act to consider that request; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that proposed General Plan Amendment g2-O1B
will not have significant adverse impacts on the environment and hereby issues
a Negative Declaration; and
WHEREAS, the City Council further finds that the proposed General Plan
amendment would result in a land use designation that is consistent with the
surrounding residential development and density, and would also foster the
improvement of local traffic circulation patterns associated with existing and
proposed development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby amend the
City of Poway General Plan Land Use Map of the Land Use Element for the above
described property from Residential Single Family-1 to Residential Single Family-
7.
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, State of
