A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
DENYING WITHOUT PREJUDICE
GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT (GPA 92-01D)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes
that the need may arise to amend the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq., of the California
Government Code describes the procedures for amending General
Plans; and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway on behalf of the Palomar
Pomerado Health System, has initiated a General Plan
amendment, GPA 92-01D, for a modification of land use for an
approximate 54.37 gross acre parcel (APN 275-461-4 and 275-
470-1, 6, 10 & 26) located at and in the vicinity of 15615
Pomerado Road; and
WHEREAS, the application proposes a change in land use
from Public Facilities (PF), Commercial Office (CO) and Rural
Residential-A (RR-A) to Hospital Campus (HC) and Open Space-
Resource Management (OS-RM); and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway held a properly noticed public
hearing in accordance with the California Government Code and
the California Environmental Quality Act to consider that
request; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the request by
the Palomar Pomerado Hospital District to deny without
prejudice their proposed General Plan amendment/zone change
application until such time that the Hospital Board of
Directors is able to convene and review the proposed
amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does
hereby deny without prejudice proposed General Plan Amendment
and Zone Change 92-01D.
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City, Council of the City of
Poway, State of California, thins 30t~ day of June, 1992.
