A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
ESTABLISHING AND CONSOLIDATING NO PARKING ZONES ON
COMMUNITY ROAD BETWEEN TWIN PEAKS ROAD AND POWAY ROAD;
HILLEARY PLACE; AND, MIDLAND ROAD BETWEEN CYNTHIA LANE AND POWAY ROAD
WHEREAS, Section 22507 of the California Vehicle Code permits local
authorities to establish "No Standing or Parking" zones; and Section
10.28.080 of the Poway Municipal Code permits City Council to prohibit
stopping, standing, or parking on certain roadways or portions thereof in
order to facilitate the movement of traffic or eliminate a hazardous
condition; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that "no parking" zones should
be established.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT in accordance with Section 22507 of
the California Vehicle Code and Section 10.28.080 of the Poway Municipal Code,
"no parking" zones are hereby established on the following streets to
facilitate the movement of vehicles and bicycles:
Along the west side of Community Road beginning at the north extended
curbline of Poway Road, thence northerly to the south extended curbline
of Twin Peaks Road, excepting therefrom a segment beginning 515 feet
north of the north extended curbline of Poway Road thence northerly a
distance of 420 feet; and
Along the east side of Community Road beginning at the north extended
curbline of Poway Road, thence northerly to the south extended curbline
of Twin Peaks Road, excepting therefrom a segment beginning 380 feet
north of the north extended curbline of Hilleary Place, thence northerly
a distance of 545 feet; and
Along the south side of Hilleary Place from the east extended curbline
of Community Road to the west extended curbline of Midland Road; and
Along the north side of Hilleary Place beginning at the east extended
curbline of Community Road, thence easterly a distance of 405 feet; and
Along the north side of Hilleary Place beginning at the west extended
curbline of Midland Road, thence westerly a distance of 105 feet; and
Along both sides of Midland Road beginning at the north extended
curbline of Poway Road, thence northerly to a point 360 feet northerly
of the north extended curbline of Hilleary Place.
This action supersedes and rescinds all previously approved parking
restrictions within the areas described above.
