A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF POWAY
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN (GPA 93-01I)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that
the need may arise to amend the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq., of the California Government
Code describes the procedures for amending General Plans; and
WHEREAS, the applicant, the City of Poway, has initiated a
General Plan Amendment, GPA 93-01I, amending the Land Use Element;
and
WHEREAS, the proposed amendment would revise Table III-2
"Distribution of Land Uses" to reflect the proper distribution of
acreage and corresponding percentages within their respective land
use categories; and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway held a properly noticed public
hearing in accordance with the California Government Code and the
California Environmental Quality Act to consider the proposed
amendment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the distribution of land
uses were adequately discussed in the environmental impact report
prepared and adopted for the 1991 update of the Poway General Plan
and that the aforementioned revision would not result in any new
significant impacts; and
WHEREAS, the City Council further finds that the proposed
General Plan Amendment will properly reflect the acreage
distribution within the land categories based on modification
proposed under General Plan Amendment.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Poway does
hereby amend the City of Poway General Plan as follows:
