A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF
THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF POWAY
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN (GPA 93-01J)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that the need may
arise to amend the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq., of the California Government Code descri-
bes the procedures for amending General Plans; and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway, has initiated a General Plan Amendment, GPA
93-01J, for a modification of land use for an approximate 197.61 gross acre site
gross acre site (APN 278-060-17,22; 278-281-1; and portions of 278-290-8; 278-
280-23; 278-060-6; 278-330-7) that includes Lake Poway and the land generally to
the west and north of the lake, or some portion thereof, from Open Space -
Recreation (OS-R) to Open Space - Resource Management (OS-RM); and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway held a properly noticed public hearing in accor-
dance with the California Government code and the California Environmental
Quality Act to consider the proposed redesignation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed land use designations
were adequately discussed in the environmental impact report prepared and adopted
for the 1991 update of the Poway General Plan and that aforementioned amendments
would not result in any new significant impacts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby amend the
City of Poway General plan Land Use Map of the Land Use Element for a portion of
the above described property, as shown on Exhibit A, from Open Space - Recreation
(OS-R) to Open Space - Resource Management (OS-RM).
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, State of
California, this 2nd day of February, 1993.
