A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
AMENDING THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN
THE CITY OF POWAY AND THE TEAMSTERS LOCAL 911
REPRESENTING THE NON-SAFETY EMPLOYEES,
AND AMENDING THE SALARIES AND BENEFITS PLAN
FOR THE MANAGEMENT, SUPERVISORY, PROFESSIONAL
AND CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY
WHEREAS, it is desired to extend the implementation date for the City to
contract with the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) to provide the
retirement benefit based on the employees' single highest year salary; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Memorandum of Understanding
between the City of Poway and the California Teamsters Local 911, representing
the Non-Safety Employees; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the salaries and benefits of the
Management, Supervisory, Professional, and Confidental Employees of the City
of Poway.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA, DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
That the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Poway and
the Teamsters Local 911 representing the Non-Safety Employees
dated July 1, 1990 is amended to extend the effective date to
provide the retirement benefit based on the employees' single
highest year salary to September 19, 1993.
That the City of Poway Management, Supervisory, Professional, and
Confidential Employees' Salary and Benefit Plan dated July 1, 1990
is amended to extend the effective date to provide the retirement
benefit based on the employees' single highest year salary to
September 19, 1993.
All other provisions of Resolutions No. 90-177 and No. 90-178
remain the same.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California, at a regular meeting thereof this 18th day of May 1993.
