A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
INITIATING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT 93-02
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that the need may
arise to amend the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq. of the California Government Code describes
the procedures for amending General Plans; and
WHEREAS, Section 17.46.020B of the Poway Municipal Code (Zoning Ordinance)
provides that a change in the boundaries of any zone or a change in regulations
may be initiated by resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, General Plan Amendment 93-02 consists of the applications noted
below.
GPA/ZC 93-02A This private application proposes consideration of a redesignation
of land use and zoning for a combined 27 parcel site located on the northern
terminus of Olive Tree Lane from Rural Residential-C (RR-C) to Residential Single
Family-2 (RS-2). This application is subject to Proposition FF.
GPA/ZC 93-02B This private application involves a consideration of a
redesignation of land use and zoning for a 6.6 acre parcel located on the
southwest corner of Pomerado Road and Stowe Drive from Residential Single Family-
2 (RS-2) to Residential Apartment (RA).
GPA 93-02C This item involves consideration of an amendment to the text Goals,
Policies and Strategies of the Land Use Element of the General Plan indicating
that no development will be permitted on slopes in excess of 45 percent.
GPA 93-02D This item involves the consideration of an amendment to the
Resources Element of the Poway General Plan regarding the revision and
replacement of Table VI-4 Map of Projected Archaeologically Sensitive Areas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Poway
by adoption of this resolution, does hereby initiate General Plan Amendment 93-02
and associated changes to the zoning boundaries, as identified above.
