A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
ESTABLISHING THE SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR RENTAL OF
POWAY CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS AND
RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 91-061
WHEREAS, fees for the use of the Poway Center for the Performing Arts by
third parties, other than the City of Poway and the Poway Unified School
District, have been established to provide for the recovery of operational and
maintenance costs associated with said facility.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Poway does hereby
resolve as follows:
The usual and customary rental rate schedule of fees for third party
uses of the Poway Center for the Performing Arts as follows:
Cateqory 1: Private nonprofit, incorporated and 501 (c)(3) tax exempt
organization and governmental entities based or located within the service
area.
Rental Rate:
$240 for a 4 hour (minimum) block
$360 for a 6 hour block
$480 for an 8 hour block
Plus 10 percent of the proceeds from gross ticket sales
Overtime charge: $150 per hour
Cateqor¥ 2: Private, noncommercial groups and/or individuals based or
residing within the service area presenting events whose proceeds over and
above actual costs of the event, as established after the fact by notarized
statement, are donated to an established 501 (c)(3) tax exempt charitable
organization; or private, nonprofit, incorporated and 501 (c)(3) tax exempt
organizations based or located outside the service area.
Rental Rate:
$320 for a 4 hour (minimum) block
$480 for a 6 hour block
$640 for an 8 hour block
Plus 10 percent of the proceeds from gross ticket sales
Overtime charge: $180 per hour
Cateqor.y 3: All other private, noncommercial, or commercial groups
organizations or individuals based or located within or without the service
area.
Rental Rate: $120 an hour
Plus 15 percent of the proceeds from gross ticket sales
The City reserves the right, when in its sole opinion, the interests of
the community as a whole and the established mission of the Performing
Arts Center are better served, to negotiate individual rental agreements
whose terms may vary from the rates established herein.
3. Resolution No. 91-061 is hereby rescinded.
