A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
DENYING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT/ZONE CHANGE (GPA/ZC 93-02B)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that
the need may arise to amend the city's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq., of the California Government
Code describes the procedures for amending General Plans; and
WHEREAS, Frank and Doris Roberts et al., has initiated a
General Plan Amendment, GPA 93-02B, for a modification of land use
for an approximate 37.3 gross acre site (APN: 323-180-6,8-
17,19,21,23,51-54,60-63,68-73) located at the northern terminus of
Olive Tree Lane; and
WHEREAS, the application proposes a change in land use from
Rural Residential-C (RR-C) to Residential Single Family-2 (RS-2);
and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway held a properly noticed public
hearing in accordance with the California Government code and the
california Environmental Quality Act to consider that request; and
WHEREAS, the city Council has considered information in the
staff report and the testimony taken at the public hearing and has
determined that the proposed General Plan amendment/zone change
request is incompatible with adjoining residential densities to the
north and west.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does
hereby deny General Plan Amendment/Zone Change 93-02B.
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the city of Poway,
State of California, this 27th day of July, 1993.
