A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING, EXECUTING AND CERTIFYING
COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT 11-4228
BETWEEN THE CITY OF POWAY AND
THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, the City of Poway determined that the proposed State Route 67
highway improvement project by the State of California Department of
Transportation (CalTrans) would have potential adverse effects on the environment
unless the impacts are significantly reduced through the implementation of
appropriate mitigation measures which have been incorporated into the project's
environmental documents supporting the issuance of a Negative Declaration of
environmental impact for the project as endorsed by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, on January 23, 1986, CalTrans and the City of Poway did meet in
an effort to expedite the environmental clearance process to work out a
cooperative proposal to the benefit of both agencies.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Poway does enter into said
agreement with CalTrans, as on file in the City Clerk's office,
become effective immediately upon its execution by all parties.
