ORDINANCE NO. 523
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION
OF CERTAIN PROPERTY (ZC 00-01)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway has approved a General Plan Amendment GPA
1, amending the land use designation for approximately 10.77 acres of an 18.26 acre site (APN 275-
35) located at the eastern terminus of Gateway Park Drive from Residential Single Family-4 (RS-4)
)mmercial Office (CO); and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the zoning classification of the property should also be
ged to maintain consistency with the General Plan as required by Section 65860 of the California
.~rnment Code and the California Environmental Quality Act to consider this zone reclassification;
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that proposed Zone Change 00-01 will not have a significant
,rse impact on the environment, and finds that the Negative Declaration prepared for this request
ts companion applications adequately addressed the potential environmental impacts; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the City Council does hereby amend the City of
ay Zoning Plan Map for the above described property from Residential Single Family-4 (RS-4) to
mercial Office (CO).
--CTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days after the date of
age; and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage, it shall be published once with
lames and members voting for and against the same in the Poway News Chieftain, a newspaper
~neral circulation published in the City of Poway.
