AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
ADDING TO SECTION 10.32.010
ESTABLISHING A REDUCED SPEED LIMIT
ON OLD POMERADO ROAD
ADJACENT TO BETTE BENDIXEN PARK
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Pursuant to Section 22357.1 of the California Vehicle Code permitting
decrease in local speed limits on any street, other than a state highway, adjacent
to any children's playground; a 25 mph speed limit on Old Pcmerado Road
adjacent to Bette Bendixen Park between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. is
hereby established.
Section 10.32.010 of the Poway Municipal Code shall be amended to include:
Old Pomerado Road. The prima facie speed limit on Old Pomerado
Road adjacent to Bette Bendixen Park is established at 25 mph
between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days after
the date of its passage; and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its
passage, it shall be published once with the names of members voting for and
against the same in the Poway News Chieftain, a newspaper of general
circulation published in the City of Poway.
Introduced and first read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Poway held the 9th day of January, 2001, and thereafter PASSED AND
ADOPTED at a regular meeting of said City Council held the 23rd day of January,
2001, by the following roll call vote:
