A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
ESTABLISHING STOP SIGNS ON CHERRYWOOD STREET AT MAPLEWOOD STREET
AND ON CRESTWOOD AVENUE AND TOBIASSON ROAD AT GLEN OAK ROAD;
AND, RESCINDING RESOLUTIONS NO. 89-174 AND 93-143
WHEREAS, Sections 21100 and 21351 of the California Vehicle Code permit
local authorities to adopt by resolution traffic control measures meeting the
requirements set forth under Section 21355 of the California Vehicle Code; and
WHEREAS, Section 21355 of the California Vehicle Code permits the
establishment of stop signs in the City of Poway; and
WHEREAS, Section 10.24.020 of the Poway Municipal Code allows the
erection of stop signs at intersection approaches designated by Council
Resolution; and
WHEREAS, this Council has determined that stop controls should hereby be
established on Cherrywood Street at Maplewood Street and on Crestwood Avenue
and Tobiasson Road at Glen Oak Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that in accordance with said Section
21355 of the California Vehicle Code, and Section 10.24.020 of the Poway
Municipal Code, stop signs shall be installed on Cherrywood Street at
Maplewood Street and, on Crestwood Avenue and Tobiasson Road at Glen Oak Road.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolutions Number 89-174 and 93-143 are
hereby rescinded.
PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California at a regular meeting thereof, this ]4th day of January, 1997.
