A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
REQUESTING GRANT FUNDS
THROUGH THE PETROLEUM VIOLATION ESCROW ACCOUNT
WHEREAS, Assembly Bill 1671, Chapter 980, Statutes of 1995, included appropriations
from the Petroleum Violation Escrow Account (PVEA) to the California Energy Commission for
legislatively mandated projects; and
WHEREAS, Assembly Bill 1671 requires that such legislatively mandated projects be
completed through a grant between the California Energy Commission and the recipient
agency; and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway desires to implement their project for a cogenerator at a
community pool at Poway High School;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that James L. Bowersox, City Manager, is
hereby authorized and empowered to execute in the name of the City of Poway an agreement
with the California Energy Commission and all other necessary documents to implement and
carry out the purposes of this resolution.
PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California, at a regular meeting thereof this 21st day of January, 1997.
