A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
SOUTH POWAY SPECIFIC PLAN,
SPECIFIC PLAN AMENDMENT (SPA 84-01
WHEREAS, Chapter 17.47 (Specific Plan Regulations) of Title 17 (Zoning
Development Code) of the Poway Municipal Code provides the requirements for the
initiation, preparation and adoption of specific plans in accordance with Section 65450, et
seq. of the California Government Code (Article 8, Specific Plan); and
WHEREAS, Section 17.47.020.C (Initiation) of the Zoning Development Code
provides that the City Council may approve an amendment to a specific plan on property
by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City Council initiated this Specific Plan Amendment by resolution
on October 29, 1996; and
WHEREAS, the City has received a request from W. H. Pomerado for a specific plan
amendment to allow a one-third acre minimum lot, in accordance with the criteria for such
lots of the South Poway Specific Plan Development Standards, for a portion of Lot 90,
Pomerado Business Park, within the Light Industrial land use designation; and
WHEREAS, the site of the specific plan amendment for a one-third acre lot
is Assessor's Parcel Number 317-281-07 (portion) situated at 13325 Danielson Street,
1,000 feet east of Community Road within the Light Industrial land use designation of the
South Poway Business Park; and
WHEREAS, a second request was received from Tech Business Center LLC to allow
waiver of the 40 foot minimum setback from the right of way for parking aisles on Iow traffic
volume, non-collector streets.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Poway
hereby approves Specific Plan Amendment (SPA 84-01GG) in accordance with the
provisions of the Poway Zoning Development Code as identified above.
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, State of
California, this 28th day of January 1997.
