Res 97-026 RESOLUTION NO. 97-026
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
ESTABLISHING ALL WAY STOP CONTROLS AT THE INTERSECTION OF
HIGH VALLEY ROAD WITH MARKAR ROAD AND VALI HAI ROAD
WHEREAS, Sections 21100 and 21351 of the California Vehicle Code permit
local authorities to adopt by resolution traffic control measures meeting the
requirements set forth under Section 21355 of the California Vehicle Code; and
WHEREAS, Section 21355 of the California Vehicle Code permits the
establishment of stop signs in the City of Poway; and
WHEREAS, Section 10.24.020 of the Poway Municipal Code allows the
erection of stop signs at intersection approaches designated by Council
resolution; and
WHEREAS, this Council has determined that stop controls should hereby be
established at High Valley Road and Markar Road and Vali Hal Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that in accordance with said Section
21355 of the California Vehicle Code, and Section 10.24.020 of the Poway
Municipal Code, stop controls shall be installed at High Valley Road and
Markar Road and Vali Hal Road.
PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California at a regular meeting thereof,'this 15th day of April, 1997.
