A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY,
CALIFORNIA APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
FOR CONVEYANCE AND OPERATION OF STREET LIGHTING
FACILITIES WHICH ENDORSES COUNCIL APPROVAL FOR THE CITY'S
ACQUISITION OF 946 SAN DIEGO GAS & ELECTRIC-OWNED
AND MAINTAINED STREET LIGHTS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway reviewed information indicating City
ownership would lower maintenance costs and improve response time for repair; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined it to be in the public's interest for the City
of Poway to purchase the SDG&E public street lighting system; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approves the terms and conditions as set forth in the
Agreement for Conveyance and Operation of Street Lighting Facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway that:
The above recitations are true and correct.
The Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to execute the Agreement which will
be returned to SDG&E for additional signatures and submittal to the California
Public Utility Commission.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California, at a regular meeting this 24th day of June, 1997.
