A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE REAL PROPERTY
ACQUISITION GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE CALIFORNIA WILDLIFE
CONSERVATION BOARD FOR $100,000 TO ASSIST IN THE PURCHASE
OF 16 ACRES OF LAND ADJACENT TO BLUE SKY ECOLOGICAL RESERVE
WHEREAS, the City of Poway desires to purchase 16 acres of land adjacent to Blue
Sky Ecological Reserve for the purpose of providing public parking and wildlife habitat
preservation; and
WHEREAS, the California Wildlife Conservation Board has approved a grant to the
City of Poway for $100,000 for the property acquisition, and
WHEREAS, the City Council must authorize the execution of the grant agreement with
the California Wildlife Conservation Board in order to receive the funding.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Poway
hereby authorizes the execution of the Real Property Grant Agreement with the California
Wildlife Conservation Board for $100,000 to assist in the purchase of 16 acres of land adjacent
to Blue Sky Ecological Reserve.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, California at
a regular meeting thereof this 1st day of July 1997.
