a RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
AMENDING THE CITY OF POWAY
GUIDE TO LANDSCAPE REQUIREMENTS
WHEREAS, Section 16.18.030 requires that landscaping and irrigation facilities and
improvements, except for landscaping at single-family dwellings which is not required for
slope stability or erosion control, be designed and installed in accordance with the City of
Poway Guide to Landscape Requirements and approved by the Director of Planning
Services and, for landscaping which is maintained by the City, by the Director of Public
Services; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best public interest to institute a uniform set of guidelines for
the design, construction, inspection and maintenance of such landscape and irrigation
improvements; and
WHEREAS, it is equally important that these guidelines be periodically updated to
reflect changes in state law and the latest trends and standards in the landscaping
industry.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
that the City of Poway Guide to Landscape Requirements be adopted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, California at a
regular meeting thereof this 29th day of July, 1997.
