Res 97-104RESOLUTION NO. 9,_7~104 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA AMENDING THE SOUTH POWAY SPECIFIC PLAN TO ALLOW ADDITIONAL COMMERCIAL USES FOR THE TRIDENT CENTER (ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBER 320-200-43) SPECIFIC PLAN AMENDMENT (SPA 84-01KK) WHEREAS, Chapter 17.47 (Specific Plan Regulations) of Title 17 (Zoning Development Code) of the Poway Municipal Code provides the requirements for the initiation, preparation and adoption of specific plans in accordance with Section 65450, et seq. of the California Government Code (Article 8, Specific Plan); and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the proposal to add: antique shops; apparel stores; book and gift stores; candy stores and confectioneries; florists shops; jewelry stores; retail stores and shops including but not limited to variety, shoe, toys, etc.; stamp and coin shops; and markets as permitted uses in the South Poway Commercial (SPC) areas of the Trident Center and has determined that these uses are compatible with surrounding residential uses permitted in the South Poway Planned Community and with the goals of the South Poway Specific Plan; and WHEREAS, the City Council held a propedy noticed hearing to accept public input concerning the proposed change. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Poway hereby adopts this resolution approving the following uses as permitted uses for the Trident Center area of South Poway Commercial (SPC): antique shops; apparel stores; book and gift stores; candy stores and confectioneries; florists shops; jewelry stores; retail stores and shops including but not limited to variety, shoe, toys, etc.; stamp and coin shops; and markets. APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, State of California, this 16th day of December, 1997.
