A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
AMENDING THE TRANSPORTATION ELEMENT
OF THE POWAY GENERAL PLAN (GPA 98-01D)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that the need may
arise to amend the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq., of the California Government Code describes
the procedures for amending General Plans; and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway, has initiated a General Plan Amendment, GPA 98-
01D, amending the Transportation Element; and
WHEREAS, the proposed amendment would provide and encourage the
construction of pedestrian and bicycle trail linkages where appropriate and feasible; and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway held a propedy noticed public hearing in accordance
with the California Government Code and the California Environmental Quality Act to
consider the proposed amendment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that proposed General Plan Amendment 98-01D
will not have significant adverse impact on the environment and hereby issues a Negative
Declaration; and
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Poway does hereby amend the
Transportation Element of the Poway General Plan as follows;
1. The following is hereby added to the Pathway Section of the Transportation Element:
