A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
ESTABLISHING A "NO STOPPING, STANDING OR PARKING" ZONE
WITH A TIME LIMITED LOADING ZONE ON CIVIC CENTER DRIVE
AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 84-003
WHEREAS, Section 22507 of the California Vehicle Code permits local
authorities to establish "No Stopping, Standing, or Parking" zones; and
WHEREAS, Section 21458 of the California Vehicle Code permits local
authorities to establish "Loading and Unloading" zones; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that certain "No Standing or
Parking" zones should be removed and new "No Standing or Parking" zones and "Time
Limited Loading and Unloading" zones should be established,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, Resolution No. 84-003
establishing a "No Standing or Parking" zone on Civic Center Drive is hereby rescinded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, in accordance with Section 22507 and
Section 21458 of the California Vehicle Code, a "No Stopping Standing or Parking"
zone and "Time Restricted Loading and Unloading" zone is hereby established in the
following location:
No Stopping Standing or Parking Zone:
On the south side of Civic Center Drive beginning at the easterly extended
curbline of Bowron Road, thence easterly to the western extended curbline of
Community Road.
Loading and Unloading Zone: (Time restricted, enforced from 7 - 8 a.m. and 12 -
2:30 p.m. School Days Only)
On the south side of Civic Center Drive beginning 90 feet east of the extended
curbline of Bowron Road, thence easterly 250 feet.
PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California at a regular meeting thereof this 2nd day~, 1998.
