A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
ADOPTING A SALARY FOR HOUSING COMMISSIONER MEMBERS
WHEREAS, the Poway City Council created the Poway Housing Commission on
July 14, 1992; and
WHEREAS, the Poway Housing Commission has met monthly since March
1993; and
WHEREAS, the Poway Housing Commission is different from City Committees in
that the decisions made by the Commission are final decisions, and not subject to
appeal; and
WHEREAS, the Poway Housing Commission is responsible for decisions
impacting the City-administered housing developments of Poway Royal Estates,
Poinsettia Senior Mobilehome Park, Poinsettia Family Park, and Haley Ranch Estates;
and
WHEREAS, the Poway Housing Commission has a significant amount of
discretionary authority, and capably administers its duties on behalf of the City of
Poway and the Poway Redevelopment Agency.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway
that the City will compensate Housing Commission members at the rate of $30 per
meeting with a maximum of two meetings per month, effective September 1998.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway
at a regular meeting this 15th day of September 1998.
