A RESOLUTION Of THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY Of POWAY, CALIFORNIA
EXTENDING ITS CONTRACT FOR THE
CONCRETE REPAIR PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City Council awarded the contract for the Concrete Repair Program
to H & D Construction Company on April 14, 1998, and the contract expires on April 14,
1999; and
WHEREAS, H & D Construction Company has provided reliable and satisfactory
service and the contract contains provisions to extend the contract on a year-to-year basis
for a total of three additional years; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway as
follows:
Section 1: Three, one year contract periods, extending the contract with H & D
Construction Company until April 14, 2002, are hereby approved.
Section 2: The Director of Public Services is hereby authorized to extend the
contract each year consistent with Section 5-9 of the "City of Poway Special Provisions for
the Concrete Repair Program, Bid No. 017-97/98" and based upon the Street Maintenance
Program in the amount as determined by the Director of Public Services.
Section 3: The City Clerk is hereby authorized to record a notice of completion, upon
conclusion of each phase, thus starting the retention period upon notification.
Section 4: The Director of Public Services is hereby authorized to approve work and
release payments when appropriate.
PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California, at a regular meeting thereof this 23rd day of March, 1999.
