A Resolution of the City Council of the
City of Poway, California Approving Amendment No. 2
to Davis-Grunsky Act Grant Contract No. D-GGR23
and Authorizing the City Manager to Execute the Amendment
WHEREAS, on July 23, 1970, the State and the City of Poway entered into a
contract under the Davis-Grunsky Act, which provided funds to assist in financing
improvements at Lake Poway Recreation Area; and
WHEREAS, on September 7, 1973, the State and the City of Poway amended
Contract D-GGR23 to require the installation of certain recreation facilities; and
WHEREAS, the State and the City of Poway desire to amend the contract to
reflect the actual project boundary and location of existing facilities; eliminate the
State's direct supervision of the fees charged for recreation use set forth in the contract;
and eliminate the picnic units required in the later stages of development.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Poway does hereby approve
Amendment No. 2 to Davis-Grunsky Act Grant Contract No. D-GGR23 and authorize
the City Manger to execute the amendment.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California at a regular meeting thereof, this 20th day of July 1999.
