A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
AMENDING THE SOUTH POWAY SPECIFIC PLAN
TO DESIGNATE LOT 2 OF TENTATIVE TRACT MAP 86-02R AS AN
OUTDOOR STORAGE LOT WITHIN THE LIGHT INDUSTRIAL (LI) AREA
SPECIFIC PLAN AMENDMENT (SPA 84-01UU)
WHEREAS, Chapter 17.47 (Specific Plan Regulations) of Title 17 (Zoning
Development Code) of the Poway Municipal Code provides the requirements for the
initiation, preparation and adoption of specific plans in accordance with Section 65450, et
seq. of the California Government Code (Article 8, Specific Plan); and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the proposal to amend the South
Poway Specific Plan to designate Lot 2 of Tentative Tract Map 86-02R as an outdoor
storage lot in the Light Industrial area; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a properly noticed hearing to accept public input
concerning the proposed change.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Poway
hereby resolves as follows:
Section 1: Specific Plan Amendment 84-01UU will not result in a significant adverse
impact and hereby approves the Negative Declaration dated March 17, 2000.
Section 2: The Poway City Council hereby approves Specific Plan Amendment
(SPA) 84-01UU as follows:
The South Poway Specific Plan, Volume 2, Development Standards, is
amended as follows:
Chapter 3, Section II, Subsection K, Item 2 is amended to read as
follows:

The map contained in Chapter 3, Section II, Subsection K is hereby
amended to include Lot 2 of TTM 86-02R as designated for Outdoor
Storage and Heavy Industrial Uses and relabeled as "Figure 1 -
Properties Designated for Outdoor Storage and Heavy Industrial
Uses" as shown in Exhibit A (attached).
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
State of California, at a regular meeting this 18th day of April, 2000.
