A RESOLUTION Of THE CITY COUNCIL Of THE CITM OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS
TO APPROVE ANNUAL CONTRACT EXTENSIONS WITH
PAVEMENT RECYCLING SYSTEMS, INC. THROUGH 2005
WHEREAS, the City Council supplements the Streets Maintenance Division by
renting an asphalt grinder and an operator to complete the yearly Surface Patch Program;
and
WHEREAS, the proposed contract to rent an asphalt grinder and operator contains
provisions to extend the contract on a year-to-year basis for a total of three additional
years; and
WHEREAS, Pavement Recycling Systems submitted the only bid that meets the
City's specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway as
follows:
Section 1: Three, one year contract periods, extending the contract with Pavement
Recycling Systems until February 27, 2005, are hereby approved.
Section 2: The Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to extend the contract
each year consistent with Specification 5-8 of the "Rental of Asphalt Grinder and Operator",
Bid No. 01-011 and based upon the Street Maintenance Program in the amount as
determined by the Director of Public Works.
